Our software allow you to set up questions that your employees will be asked when vending from your unit(s).
Questions are set up by department. This means anytime an employee assigned to that department uses the vending machine it will ask them this question.
Questions can be set up to be asked Pre or Post Dispense (before or after they dispense the product), in addition, these questions can be set up to accept any answer or a pre-defined answer in which case you need to enter in the answers you will accept. If an employee doesn’t provide the correct answer they can’t move forward with the transaction.
When setting up User Limit questions please keep in mind:
- There is a character limit for how long your question can be. If you have a Keypad unit the total max character limit is 20 characters. If you have a Touchscreen unit the total max character limit is 25-30 characters.
- The system will only accept numerical answers.
- All questions and answers are trackable on the Transaction Report.
- The default department is limited to 6 enabled questions and 10 answers per question.
To set up these questions please follow the below instructions:
1. Go to the DEPARTMENTS page in the EMPLOYEE section
2. For the department you would like to set this question up for click on the icon in the USER LIMIT column
3. On the User Limit page click ADD NEW
4. This will open the Add User Limit window. Please complete:
- QUESTION NO if you have multiple questions set up this reflects the order number they will be asked
- QUESTION NAME
- ASK ONCE if checked on, it will only ask this question 1 time. If unchecked and you allow employees to dispense multiple items in one vend session, it will ask this question multiple times, once for each product vended
- DISPENSE TYPE pre or post dispense
- PROMT select Enabled if you would like to turn this question on to be asked
- LOCATION / PRODUCT GORUP / PRODUCT (FOR TOUCHSCREEN MODEL UNITS ONLY) you may program your question(s) to display during certain situations, such as only at a specific location,, only when a product from a selected product group is dispensed, or only when selected products are dispensed. Select from the dropdown, you may select multiples
- DISPLAY FOR (FOR TOUCHSCREEN MODEL UNITS ONLY) you may program your question(s) to display when specific products are dispensed by checking on these options. I.E. by checking on Dual Validation, it will only display this question for products which have Dual Validation selected.
- QUESTION type in your question in this field. You may program for English, Spanish, and French language
ANY ANSWER or PREDEFINED ANSWER you will have the option to allow employees to enter any answer or predefined answers.
ANY ANSWER if selected, you may set an answer rule, such as EXACT DIGITS, BETWEEN TWO DIGITS, MAXIMUM DIGITS, MINIMUM DIGITS. Employees would be required to answer with the proper amount of digits for an acceptable answer
PREDEFINED ANSWER allows you to enter in what answers you will accept, along with a desired outcome of those answers
- Click ADD USER LIMIT once your question(s) is programmed
To view these answers on your TRANSACTION REPORT:
After running your transaction report, you will need to click on the double arrow button to the left of VIEW REPORT which expands a COLUMN SELECTION section and from here you can select USER LIMIT RESPONSE and view your answers.
